The airports
Where you actually take off and land.
Teterboro
Twelve miles from Midtown Manhattan and the default business-aviation airport for New York. It is busy and it has noise and weight restrictions, so slots and timing matter more here than at most airports.
FBO Atlantic Aviation
Palm Beach International
The practical airport for Palm Beach, Wellington and Jupiter, and busy through the winter season when the whole coast fills up.
FBO Signature Flight Support
What to know
One of the densest private corridors in the world
From November through April this corridor carries an extraordinary amount of private traffic, and it behaves accordingly: winter weekends need to be booked early, and Teterboro's slot and noise restrictions bite hardest exactly when everyone wants to leave. Midweek in the summer is close to available on demand. Atlantic Aviation at Teterboro, Signature at Palm Beach. If your ground plans point to Wellington or Jupiter, PBI is still the practical field.
Questions
New York to Palm Beach, answered.
How long is the flight from New York to Palm Beach?
The great-circle distance is 902 nautical miles. A super-midsize jet covers it in about 2h 14m block to block; a light jet needs closer to 2h 32m. Winds move these by fifteen to thirty minutes in either direction, and westbound legs are usually the slower ones.
Which aircraft fly New York to Palm Beach nonstop?
Light jet, Midsize jet, Super midsize, Heavy jet, Ultra long range. Those categories carry the range for this leg with normal reserves and a full cabin. Smaller cabins can still fly it with a fuel stop, which adds roughly forty-five minutes on the ground.
Which airports and FBOs do you use for New York and Palm Beach?
Teterboro (KTEB) at the New York end and Palm Beach International (KPBI) at the Palm Beach end. We normally use Atlantic Aviation at KTEB and Signature Flight Support at KPBI. If you already have a preference at either end we use yours, and if a different field suits your ground plans better we will quote that instead.
How quickly can you quote this route?
Most come back within thirty minutes during business hours. A trip that needs international permits or an unusual airport takes longer, and we tell you which yours is rather than leaving you waiting. Either way you get options from certified Part 135 operators with the trade-offs written out.
How we work
A brokerage built by pilots.
We check the operator before you fly
Certificates first, then the aircraft. We pull the operator's Wyvern standing and the assigned crew's type rating, currency and hours on that specific aircraft. Coming from the flight deck ourselves, we know which of those numbers matter and which only look good on paper. If it does not come back clean, we go elsewhere and you never hear about it.
The aircraft has to match the airport
The most common request we turn around is the largest cabin into the smallest field. Sometimes the aircraft simply cannot do it. When that happens we come back with a different cabin, a different airport nearby, or two aircraft, and where it makes sense, a helicopter or a car for the last leg. Getting you there properly is a different job from selling you the airplane you asked for.
Your FBO, not ours
Atlantic Aviation is our home at Opa-locka. Years of working together, and it shows in how our clients get handled. Beyond that we work with Fontainebleau at OPF, Jet Nassau in the Bahamas and Jet Aviation worldwide, plus most major FBOs globally. If you already have a preference at either end, we use yours.
What happens when something breaks
Aircraft go unserviceable and weather closes airports. What separates one broker from another is the twenty minutes afterwards. We have moved a client onto a larger cabin at no extra cost to keep his morning, and we have put a trip together inside an hour for a three in the morning departure. Where we can upgrade you at no additional cost, we do.
